Hawaii Luaus

What are Hawaii Luaus?

"Luau" originally referred to the leaves of the taro plant. Later it referred to dishes prepared with these leaves, and finally to the feasts at which the dishes were served.

Luaus are casual Hawaiian parties or feasts with traditional Hawaiian food and Hawaiian music and dance for entertainment. Hawaii residents often hold luaus to celebrate special occasions, such as a child's first birthday, weddings, etc. Commercial operations in Hawaii also specialize in Hawaii luaus that cater to visitors to the Islands.

Sea Life Park Hawaii - Sea Life Luau

This is not only the newest of all Hawaii luaus, but it is also the only luau in the world with a dolphin show! Enjoy music, food, dancing and dolphins in true Sea Life Park Style. A great experience for the whole family.

TIP: Always make sure that foods with coconut in them like Haupia are kept chilled and fresh. Coconut goes off quickly in this hot climate and could lead to food poisoning that you will probably remember more vividly than the rest of your vacation in Hawaii. So be careful!
